Synopsis
## Tokyo Revengers
*Tokyo Revengers* by Ken Wakui ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022, spanning 278 chapters across 31 collected volumes. It became one of the defining shounen hits of the early 2020s, combining a gripping time-travel premise with the drama-drenched world of Tokyo biker gangs. The manga sold over 70 million copies, spawning a live-action film and an anime adaptation.
Takemichi Hanagaki is a 26-year-old at rock bottom — working a dead-end part-time job, pushed around by everyone around him, with nothing to show for his life. Then he learns that his middle school girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and her brother Naoto have been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang, the most dangerous criminal organization in Japan. Moments later, he's pushed onto subway tracks — and wakes up 12 years in the past, in middle school, on the day he first started dating Hinata. Takemichi discovers he can travel back to the present by shaking hands with Naoto, who in the present is now a police detective. Together they form a plan: Takemichi will leap back repeatedly, using foreknowledge to infiltrate the Tokyo Manji Gang and change its leadership from within, before its descent into violence becomes irreversible. The completed manga is available through Kodansha USA.
