Synopsis
## Samurai Champloo
*Samurai Champloo* is Shinichiro Watanabe's other masterpiece — a genre-defying blend of Edo-period samurai action and hip-hop culture that stands alongside *Cowboy Bebop* as one of the most stylistically original anime ever made.
Fuu, a cheerful waitress, rescues two imprisoned swordsmen — the wild, breakdancing-style Mugen and the classically skilled, reserved Jin — from execution, in exchange for their help finding a mysterious "samurai who smells of sunflowers." The three travel through Edo-period Japan on this vague quest, encountering mercenaries, corrupt officials, and colorful characters while their tense triangle of personalities gradually develops into something resembling friendship. Nujabes and Fat Jon's hip-hop soundtrack remains one of the most celebrated in anime history.
