Synopsis
## Psycho-Pass
*Psycho-Pass* is Production I.G's landmark cyberpunk thriller — a meticulously constructed dystopian world that draws on the philosophical traditions of Philip K. Dick and Michel Foucault to ask urgent questions about determinism, justice, and the cost of perfect safety.
In 22nd-century Japan, the Sibyl System — an omnipresent network — can scan any citizen's "Psycho-Pass": a measure of their mental state and likelihood to commit crime. Those with high "Crime Coefficients" are apprehended or eliminated before committing any offense. Akane Tsunemori joins the Criminal Investigation Department as a new inspector, partnered with "Enforcers" — latent criminals used as hunting dogs. When a calculating criminal named Shogo Makishima begins committing crimes invisible to the Sibyl System, Akane must question both the system she serves and the nature of justice itself.
