Synopsis
## Plastic Memories
*Plastic Memories* is an original sci-fi romance from Doga Kobo that wears its heart on its sleeve — a story about cherishing every moment you have with the people you love, even when the clock is always ticking.
In a near future, the SAI Corporation manufactures humanoid androids called Giftias, indistinguishable from humans and capable of genuine emotion and memory. However, Giftias have a finite lifespan of roughly nine years and four months, after which their memory and personality irreversibly degrade. Tsukasa Mizugaki, a young man who failed his college entrance exams, joins the SAI Terminal Service and is paired with a Giftia named Isla — a veteran retrieval agent whose own lifespan is nearly expired. As Tsukasa and Isla work together to retrieve Giftias nearing their end, they fall in love despite knowing their time is impossibly short. *Plastic Memories* is an unabashedly emotional meditation on impermanence, the value of shared memories, and what it means to say goodbye.
