## One-Punch Man *One-Punch Man* is one of the most entertaining anime of its decade — a brilliant deconstruction of shonen action tropes that also delivers some of the most visually spectacular fight sequences in the medium, animated by Madhouse at their absolute peak. Saitama is an ordinary-looking bald man who became a hero for fun, training so relentlessly that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. The problem: this absolute power has left him utterly bored. Unable to find anyone who can provide a genuine challenge, Saitama goes through hero work with deadpan resignation. The series works both as a sharp parody of superhero and shonen conventions and as a genuinely thrilling action anime, with supporting characters — particularly the cyborg Genos — who receive more conventional hero arcs.
