## Black Lagoon *Black Lagoon* is Madhouse's most unapologetically violent and stylish action series — a fast-paced crime thriller set in the criminal underworld of Southeast Asia with some of the most memorable anti-hero characters in anime. Rokuro Okajima, a mild-mannered Japanese salaryman, is taken hostage by the Lagoon Company — a mercenary crew operating out of the fictional city of Roanapur, Thailand. When his own company betrays him to cover up their illegal dealings, Rock (as he comes to be known) joins the Lagoon crew rather than return to Japan. His partners include Revy, a Chinese-American gunfighter of terrifying skill and temper; Dutch, the calm, calculating captain; and Benny, the tech specialist. The series follows their criminal operations with sharp characterization and relentless action.
