Studio Trigger has announced a standalone theatrical film set in the world of *Delicious in Dungeon* (*Dungeon Meshi*). Titled *Delicious in Dungeon: The Wandering Chef*, the film will follow Laios Touden and his party in a new adventure that takes place after the events of the television series, exploring a dungeon region left untouched by the original narrative.
The announcement was made via Trigger's official channels alongside a striking new key visual: Laios standing before an enormous underground lake, a fire-lit cavern stretching behind him, with Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi visible at his sides, each preparing gear for the descent.

Per the official brief, *The Wandering Chef* takes place in a subterranean region known as the Undermaze — a flooded dungeon system beneath the continent accessible only through a hidden passage Laios discovers using lore from the Canaries' archives. The group encounters entirely new monster species and, of course, faces the challenge of surviving off what they find underground.
The original manga author, Ryoko Kui, is credited as series supervisor for the film, with Trigger's internal staff handling script and direction.

*Delicious in Dungeon* became one of the breakout anime of 2024, praised universally for its combination of worldbuilding depth, comedic timing, and character work. The television series, also produced by Trigger, was directed by Yoshihiro Miyajima and adapted the complete manga run by Ryoko Kui, which concluded in 2023 after fourteen volumes.
