Synopsis
## The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
*The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.* is one of anime's funniest comedies — a precision-engineered gag machine that wrings endless comedy from a single brilliant premise: what if the world's most powerful superhuman was a deeply annoyed introvert?
Kusuo Saiki was born with every psychic power imaginable: telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, teleportation, time travel, mind control, and dozens more. Rather than using these gifts heroically, Saiki has spent his entire life desperately trying to live normally — to eat his beloved coffee jelly without reading everyone's thoughts, to get through a school day without accidentally altering reality. The problem is that he is surrounded by an increasingly bizarre cast of classmates who, through sheer coincidence or force of personality, keep disrupting his carefully maintained ordinary life. There is Riki Nendou, a well-meaning moron whose skull is too thick for telepathy to penetrate; Kokomi Teruhashi, a beauty convinced the universe revolves around her; and Shun Kaidou, a self-proclaimed hero fighting a secret war. The comedy comes from Saiki's increasingly elaborate efforts to avoid using his powers while the universe conspires against him. The series ran as short-form episodes across two seasons, with a revival season on Netflix.
