Synopsis
## Eureka Seven
*Eureka Seven* (*Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven*) is Studio Bones' magnum opus of the mid-2000s mecha genre — a 50-episode epic that earns every moment of its emotional climax through patient character development, a genuinely complex world, and a love story that anchors everything.
Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy living in a remote town, dreaming of joining the legendary outlaw crew Gekkostate and riding the atmospheric phenomenon known as Trapar waves on his ref board. When a giant mecha called the Nirvash crashes into his grandfather's workshop, piloted by a mysterious girl named Eureka, Renton's dream becomes reality faster than he expected. He joins Gekkostate, led by the charismatic rebel Holland, and discovers that Eureka and the Nirvash share an impossible bond — and that the fate of the world is woven into their relationship. *Eureka Seven* is celebrated for its world-building depth, its earnest treatment of adolescent love, and its willingness to let its protagonist grow slowly and genuinely over 50 episodes.
